loved by 5 million+ popcorn lovers

Double the feel-good,
every purchase helps a public school student

  • $5 from your order supports public school classrooms
  • 79+ grants, thousands of students supported, more classrooms being helped every day!
  • 60+ cups of popcorn in every large tin, a sweet treat for you or someone you love.

94% of public school teachers spend their own money to stock their classrooms.

On average, teachers pay $500 to $750 a year out of pocket for things like pencils, paper, books, markers, and art supplies, just to make sure their students don’t go without.

  • And it doesn’t stop there. Field trips get cancelled.
  • Music programs disappear. Art supplies run dry.
  • As a result, students miss out on experiences that could shape who they become, not because of lack of potential, but because of lack of funding.

“ Thanks to our teachers; they always step in. But they shouldn’t have to. Let’s change that; one popcorn tin at a time! ”

We know the need from personal experience

We’re sons of public school teachers, former public school students, and now dads to five public school kids.

We’re both serving as President and Vice President of our children’s PTO. And we’ve seen the struggles and quiet sacrifices first-hand.

That’s why we started this initiative: to help teachers do what they do best, without begging parents for spare dollars.

And we’ll be honest: this all became real for us when Dave’s mom, a lifelong public school teacher, received a letter from one of her former 4th grade students shortly before she passed.

That student had become a professor at Fordham. She said it was Dave’s mother's small gestures the extras, the encouragement, the care that helped her survive a difficult childhood and build a life in academia.

That letter is a reminder that the small things matter.

$5, if used right, can change the trajectory of a classroom or a child's life.

  • If you’ve ever loved a public school teacher…
  • If you’ve ever been the kid who needed more…
  • Or you’re raising one now
You already know why this matters.

So when you buy from Goody’s, you’re not just getting a sweet treat.
You’re doing the sweetest little deed for a child.

The impact so far…

Goody’s seeks to do its small part to help foster the heart of every community by promoting and supporting public education.

Below are the incredible pieces that our kiddos get to create because of the Artist in Residence program, which has become a top fundraising priority for the PTA as it wouldn’t be guaranteed without it!

I asked my kiddo and his friends what they love most about art, and here’s what they said:

“Art makes me calm.” – Grayson
“Art makes my heart smile.” – Jordan
“I love how art can turn into a story.” – Emmy

Thank you for your ongoing support of our community and our kids.

To Mr. David Bergman,

I sincerely thank you for your generous donation of $250.00 to my classroom here at Sage Elementary School, as part of your "Public School Assistance Initiative MicroGrant."

These funds will go to good use in the classroom, assisting much needed sensory supports and snacks for the students.

Myself, and everyone at Sage Elementary, greatly appreciate your support of schools including Sage Elementary School, and cannot wait to see the donations being put to good use.

With much gratitude,

Kendra Brabb

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How does the Goody’s Public School Grant work?

For every popcorn tin or gift set you purchase, Goody’s donates $5 to our Public School Assistance Fund. Once the fund reaches $250, we award a microgrant directly to a public school teacher to help them bring something meaningful into their classroom — from art supplies to field trips, science kits, books, and more.

  • Who can apply for a grant?

Any U.S. public school teacher or administrator can apply. The only requirement is that the funds directly benefit students in the classroom

  • Which schools have Goody’s already helped?

In our first 6 months, we’ve funded 79 grants across schools like:

    • Bear Creek Elementary
    • Pine Ridge Elementary
    • Westside Village Magnet School
    • Evergreen Middle School
    • Sage Elementary
    • Ponderosa Elementary

…and many others across the Pacific Northwest

Our goal is to reach every corner of the U.S.

  • How do teachers apply for a grant?

Teachers can apply directly on our website at Micro GrantE

  • What can teachers use the grant for?

Anything that helps students learn, grow, or feel seen.

    Grants can be used for:

    • Classroom basics (pencils, paper, books)
    • Flexible seating and supplies
    • Science kits, art materials, and project-based learning
    • Field trips and enrichment experiences
    • Books for student clubs or writing instruction
    • Math manipulatives, recess resources, or tech tools
    • Even take-home materials to help kids keep learning outside the classroom

If it helps public school students, it’s eligible.

  • Does Goody’s support other causes too?

Yes! Alongside our classroom grants, we also run Goody’s Gives fundraisers, designed for teams, schools, and community groups who need a simple, effective way to raise money.

Supporters order delicious Goody’s popcorn through a custom link or QR code, and your group keeps 35% of every dollar they spend.
