Goody’s owners Dave and Mark believe public schools are the heart of any community. Both attended public school, both have parents who taught public school, both have their children in public school, and together they’ve spent the last four years managing their childrens’ school parent-teacher association. They understand as well as anyone the needs of public schools, because they’ve witnessed it firsthand.

Goody’s seeks to do its small part to help foster the heart of every community by promoting and supporting public education.

goody's microgrant

How It Works

When you buy, we give; it’s really as simple as that! Goody’s donates $5 from the sale of every popcorn tin and every gift set to a fund for public education. With the funds raised from the sale of Goody’s products, Goody’s will award microgrants directly to public school teachers and administrators nationwide. Funds will be available to advance any program or event that benefits public-school children. Grants will start at a maximum of $250 to be able to fulfill needs in as many places as possible. Goody’s will, at its own discretion, award these grants based upon its assessment of need, utilizing Goody’s owners’ experience with public schools.

The program aims to support creative and impactful programs or events that directly benefit public school children. Whether it's a unique classroom project, an after-school activity seeking a boost, or a fun event designed to spark student engagement, Goody's Gives encourages applications that demonstrate a clear need and the potential to positively impact the lives of students.

Apply for Goody’s Microgrant

Applicants, please read these caveats before completing the below application:

  1. The MAXIMUM grant we will be awarding at this time is $250.00. Any request for more than $250 will not be awarded.
  2. Teachers or schools may apply for multiple grants for multiple purposes, but once one is awarded in a school, the remaining requests will go to the back of the queue.
  3. Grants are only for public schools and public-school teachers or administrators for use in the classroom or for their students. There are grants elsewhere for teacher development and other things, this program is directly for public school kids.
  4.  We will try to review every single application and make at least some award to as many as we can. We want to keep it simple and get the dollars to helping kids as quickly as possible, without burdening teachers any more than they already are. No attachments are permitted.
  5. Goody’s reserves the right to request backup documentation to ensure that donations are being spent in the manner intended.
  6. In the event you are awarded a grant, you hereby give Goody’s permission to utilize all data and media associated with the grant on its website, social media, and otherwise to raise awareness of the microgrant program
